History
Serving the Fort St. John Area since 2006
Terry McLeod started working in the oilpatch in 1979. After continually seeing the need for a Fort St. John based nitrogen services company that could service oil and gas producers with operations in northeastern British Columbia, Terry established Kamber Nitrogen Services in 2006. Having a nitrogen services company based in Fort St. John B.C. meant that Kamber customers could get their work done more efficiently with less cost. Prior to forming Kamber, Terry had been working in the oilpatch in various management and consulting capacities. Shortly after Kamber was established, Terry was joined by Jamie Lawson, who is Kamber’s current N2 Manager. After delivery of its first N2 Pumper and Bulker, Kamber has since expanded to 4-N2 Pumpers and two Bulkers.
In November 2010, Kamber took delivery of its first coiled tubing unit, allowing it to offer its customers a variety of coiled tubing services. Since delivery of that first unit, Kamber has since added a HydraRig reel support trailer and a second coil tubing unit is scheduled to be delivered in the latter part of 2011.
To properly reflect that Kamber now provides its customers more than nitrogen services, Kamber began operating as Kamber Energy Services in 2011.
Kamber currently operates out of a 10,000 square foot shop and office located on the east bypass road in Fort St John, 1 mile north of the Alaska Highway. On site, three stand-up tanks store 100,000 scm of nitrogen.
Today, Kamber Energy Services has knowledgeable staff with more than 70 years experience in the oil & gas services sector. Kamber’s future growth includes continued expansion; offering new services and technologies and a continued focus on innovation, people, safety and the environment.
